Mr. Vonderschmidt joined Neurological and Spinal Surgery in 2013.

Corlan J. Vonderschmidt, PA-C

Corlan Vonderschmidt received a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with an emphasis on Pre-Professional Health Studies from the University of Nebraska -Lincoln in August 2007. In 2013, he received his Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Union College in Lincoln, Nebraska. While attending Union College, Corlan was the recipient of several scholarships including the Health Science Education Scholarship, the Howard and Effie Birch Physician Assistant Scholarship, the Shafeek and Wadia Farag Physician Assistant Scholarship and the Nebraska Physician Assistant Foundation Scholarship. He is a Certified Physician Assistant and is licensed to practice as such in the State of Nebraska. He is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Disaster Life Support (BDLS).

He is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants as well as the Nebraska Academy of Physician Assistants.




Mr. Depue joined Neurological and Spinal Surgery in 2016.

Adam D. Depue, PA-C

Adam Depue joined the practice in August 2016. He is a certified Physician Assistant licensed to practice in the State of Nebraska and previously employed by Bryan Heart. Adam received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Biochemistry with a Minor in Math and Chemistry from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in December 2006. In 2012, he earned his Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Union College in Lincoln graduating Cum Laude with Capstone honors. He is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Disaster Life Support (BDLS).

Adam is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.

In his spare time, Adam enjoys golfing, archery and is an avid Huskers fan.




Lauren Chatwell, PA-C

Lauren Chatwell joined Neurological and Spinal Surgery in February 2019.

She was raised in St. Louis, Missouri and completed her Bachelor of Science in Health Science with a minor in Biology at Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri. Upon graduation from Truman, she took time to earn a Master of Ministry degree with her husband David and assist him in running a city-wide youth ministry in Springfield, Missouri. In 2013 she moved to her husband’s hometown of Lincoln, Nebraska to attend physician assistant school.

In May 2016 Lauren graduated with distinction and capstone honors with her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Union College. After graduation she began her career as a Physician Assistant with the Bryan Trauma Service.

Lauren is certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS).

She and David have one son, Benjamin.
